Eyewitnesses in Kubuga, the local community hosting the college, said the blast and sporadic shootings by suspected members of the Boko Haram threw members of the college community into panic as they scampered for safety.
According to Huhuonline, an online medium, shops within and around the college hurriedly closed for safety of members of the college and the immediate community.
Exact number of deaths is yet to be confirmed by relevant authorities.
